The Museum is within the Torre Capitano, a renovated Norman stronghold.
TROINA: the crossroads of inland Sicily.
Six thousand years of history from the Simeto to the Nebrodi.
C16th oil on wood from the studio of Antonello da Messina, entitled Behold the Man from the words of Pontius Pilate; John 19:5.
7 display cases and a stratigraphy offer a view into Troina's past.
Case 1: Territory: Environment and Resources
Animal bones from the Classical period.
Malpasso pottery from Pietralunga 3000BC and Serraferlicchio pottery from Casa Sollima 3600BC
Double boiler fragments for cheese making c3600 B.C.
Flint, Obsidian and Chert tools.

Coloured Pebbles imported from the coast, possibly used as counters or game pieces.
Bone tools made from animal bone used for crafts, pottery making and leatherwork.
