The vestiges of several Neolithic huts were identified in the Scalvi area behind Casa Sollima.
The excavation of one the huts by the Cambridge-Belfast archaeological team with the superintendenza of Enna...
...spanned several years contributing much to knowldge of the subject.
Assisted by parents and archirect Luciano Allegra, students of the Don Bosco school constructed a 1:10 scale model of the hut.

Teachers Anna Maria Campione, Antonia Carrubba, Maria Concetta Di Blasi and Mariangela Ruggeri co-ordinated the project: Historic Hut - the school creates its little museum, which was financed by the Regional Department of Culture.
To the North of Troina, the Ancipa dam, built in the 1950s, created the Sartori lake...
...collecting water which powers 5 turbines much further along the valley.
When the waters are low, an ancient mill can be seen on the shore.
